Many NEX-3N units were sold with the SEL1650 16–50 mm retractable power zoom lens. Check that the lens retracts and extends smoothly, the zoom operates correctly via the power zoom lever, and the lens barrel shows no impact damage. Front element scratches on this lens significantly degrade image quality.
The 180°-tilting LCD is frequently used for selfie shooting. Inspect the tilt hinge for smooth operation and verify the LCD lights up uniformly without dead pixels or pressure marks.
